5Beautiful pictureApr 11, 2010
I replaced my 17" monitor with this 22" when the old one started to give me problems. I have had this one for about a year and couldn't be happier.

I love the size and the picture. I couldn't believe how much difference there is between a 17" screen and a 22" screen. Night & Day.

5Easy to install, looks greatMar 14, 2010
So far, this has been a great monitor. I had no problems installing it (Windows XP) and setting it up in a dual-monitor system. I'm not doing anything particularly fancy; mainly a work machine (word processing, desktop publishing, occasional graphics).

3Good, not great monitor.Mar 12, 2010
This is my first flat screen monitor, much less a wide screen aspect one. I got it because I need more room on screen for various applications and it does the job for me. But it does not work well in wide screen resolution (1280x768). Images are fine but text is spotty and hard to read. Therefore, I use it in 1024x768 which works well for text (and gives me more room to fit multiple windows but not nearly as much as I was hoping for... ie. the 1280x768). But in the lower resolution, meant for a 4x3 aspect ratio, pictures and images are stretched out, like what happens when you watch a non HD broadcast on an HD widescreen TV.

Also, the stand doesn't tilt up quite enough for me so I have to add someting unerneath it to tip the screen up or else I'm too high to view it without losing picture quality. You have to be pretty much face on to it to avoid serious visual degradation.

That said, for the price I paid, I'm satisfied with it.

1don't be fooled by the low price tagMar 09, 2010
This product was defective. Had a blue line right down the side. I thought it was a great deal for the price, but in addition to the defect I found this monitor to be dull and faded. I wound up getting a Gateway for just a few dollars more that not only worked well, but has incredible clarity. I have purchased 2 Gateways in the last 4 years (this one I gave to my father and I have another from 4-5 yrs ago for personal use), and am convinced it's worth the extra money. Don't be fooled by the low price tag. Get a Gateway and you won't be disappointed or even thinking about purchasing another for a while. It will pay for itself multiple times over.

I should note, that as always, Amazon was happy to take the product back and give me a full refund. Thanks Amazon.

2short lifeMar 08, 2010
While it worked it was fine, but mine died almost exactly one year after I bought it. That's a pathetic life span, so I doubt I'll ever buy another Acer again.
